Guide
How to delete pages from a PDF
Use this tool to delete blank scans, duplicate sheets, cover pages, or confidential pages from a PDF before you share it. Click the pages you want gone in the visual preview, or type the page numbers, and a clean copy is written locally with pdf-lib. Your original file is never modified or uploaded.
- 1
Add your PDF
Drop the document onto the tool. Page thumbnails are rendered so you can identify the pages you want to remove.
- 2
Select the pages to delete
Click page thumbnails to mark them, or type numbers such as 2, 5-7, 11 into the field. Marked pages are highlighted.
- 3
Check what remains
The panel shows how many pages are marked and how many will be left, so you can confirm before making any change.
- 4
Delete and download
Press delete to build the trimmed document, then download it. The pages you kept stay in their original order.
Page problems this tool solves
- A scanner added blank pages between every sheet of a double-sided document.
- You need to share a report without the internal cover page or the confidential appendix.
- A downloaded form contains instruction pages you do not need to print or submit.
- Duplicate pages appeared because a document was scanned twice.
- You want to remove pages without buying desktop PDF editing software.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove a page from a PDF for free?
Add the PDF, click the pages you want gone, and press delete. A new document is built from the remaining pages. There is no account, no watermark, and no upload.
Is my original file changed?
No. The tool creates a new PDF from the pages you keep. The file on your device is left exactly as it was.
Can I select pages by typing numbers?
Yes. Type values such as 2, 5-7, 11 to mark pages by number. The preview highlights your selection so you can double-check it.
Can I delete every page?
No. A PDF needs at least one page, so the tool blocks the action and tells you rather than producing an invalid file.
Is the content of deleted pages really gone?
Yes. Only the pages you keep are copied into the new document, so the removed pages are not carried over in any hidden form.
