Guide
How to rotate PDF pages
Use this PDF rotator when scanned pages come out sideways or upside down. You can turn every page at once or click individual pages that need fixing, then save a corrected copy. The rotation is written into the document itself with pdf-lib, so it stays correct in every PDF reader and when printed.
- 1
Add your PDF
Drop the document onto the tool. Every page is rendered as a thumbnail so you can see which ones are the wrong way round.
- 2
Rotate all pages or just some
Use the 90 degree left, 90 degree right, or 180 degree buttons to turn the whole document, or click a single page to rotate only that one.
- 3
Check the previews
Thumbnails update instantly as you rotate, so you can confirm every page is upright before saving anything.
- 4
Apply and download
Press apply to write the rotation into the file, then download the corrected PDF. Your original file is not modified.
Rotation problems this tool solves
- A scanner saved pages in landscape when the document should be portrait.
- Some pages in a document are upright while others are sideways, so a single global rotation will not work.
- Your PDF reader can rotate the view on screen but will not save the change permanently.
- Printed pages come out sideways even though they looked fine on screen.
- A photographed document was captured at an angle and needs turning before it can be submitted.
Frequently asked questions
How do I permanently rotate a PDF page?
Rotating in a PDF reader usually only changes the on-screen view. This tool writes the rotation into the document itself, so it stays correct everywhere the file is opened or printed.
Can I rotate only one page?
Yes. Click any page thumbnail to turn just that page 90 degrees at a time. Each click adds another 90 degrees, so four clicks return it to the start.
Is my PDF uploaded to rotate it?
No. Pages are rendered with pdf.js and the rotation is applied with pdf-lib, both running locally in your browser.
Does rotating affect the text or image quality?
No. Rotation only changes a page attribute in the PDF. Text stays selectable and searchable, and images are untouched.
What if my PDF already has rotation applied?
The tool reads the existing rotation and adds yours on top, so the final result is what you see in the preview rather than an unexpected double rotation.
